Air Stone Vs Diffuser

i notice that air stone is much better in creating smaller bubbles than using a ceramic diffuser . i find that a lot of pressure is needed to pump the bubbles through the spiral glass . any comments on that ?

the ceramic plates in the diffuser helps break the co2 into tiny bubbles that is easier to dissolve. Air stone however will dissolve under the acidity of co2 over a period of time and the bubbles creates through it is way too large. diffuser ain't the most efficient way and come 2nd after the reactor

unless you are using DIY CO2, i think ceramic diffuser will definitely be better as it produces much smaller bubbles. under high pressure, the bubbles produce by airstone becomes too large and rise too quickly

i am using a 2litre co2 tank. so which one is the best ? any better than ceramic diffuser ?

conclusion is that ceramic diffuser is more efficient and it can produce really really tiny small co2 bubbles , by then it helps my plant to photosynthesis cos they bubble out immediate !
as for air stone , my personal view is that it is wasting of co2 if u plug in air stone , cos the bubbles cant be broken into even smaller bubbles , it just rise up the water column and thats it . and my plants dont seem to bubble out out o2 .

However i do not agree with this, im using a co2 stone for my DIY co2 bottle. As compared to using glass ceramic diffuser, my co2 stone produces more tiny bubbles. Visually, the stone produces alot of really tiny bubbles through it's base...even smaller bubbles than what i get from my glass ceramic diffuser. Further more, it doesn't have that "white" mould like substance stucked on the diffusing surface as compared to the glass ceramic ones.
