I knew it I should wait little bit longer
I though the EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS out quite a while ago, good review at photozone for S$360 lens

Heard that the new 450D will be cheaper than 400D. I am considering 55-250mm because of its price (about S$360)

Well, the insult will have to wait..
The new Canon EF200mm f/2L IS USM is scheduled to be available in April at an estimated retail price of US$5,999.00 and the new Canon EF800mm f/5.6L IS USM is scheduled to be available in May for an estimated retail price of US$11,999.00.
By the time it reach our shores, I think it will be in Jul or Aug at the earliest. The demand of this two lenses will be quite great, given the fact that they are lighter than their predecessors or the next nearest lens in it's class.
But seriously tempting hor.....
Cheers,

Strange that they are still attacking the consumer market by coming out with the 450D.
Think the semi-pros will continue to complain about the improved 5D.
The 200mm f2 sounds really good... Creamy creamy bokeh when "sniping".
400D has reached its 'COE expiry' - that is 18th month cycle.

$11,999 USD? because the Nikkor 800 VR was about S$20K 3 years back.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Anyone know the estimated price of the 450D? I guess it will be close to 400D?
