Most LFS that sells live food for Arowana or LuoHan should have this.

Malayan shrimp and ghost/glass shrimp are different.
Malayan shrimps are smaller. Ghost shrimps mainly used for Arowana/LuoHan food.

I ever documented ghost shrimps eating ramshorn snails.

If I am not wrong, the feeder shrimps sold in the lfs usually in bags for $1 or $2 (about 20 to 40) are glass or ghost shrimps. Those I had do not seem to feed on algae. They compete for fish food and are very aggressive (apistos lose out). They do keep the tank free of leftovers though.

Malayan shrimps are smaller, about the size of cherries. Read that they are algae feeders but have never kept them. Almost bought them at Seaview but they would be too small and will end up as fish food.

Only if the neon tetra is weak to escape the shrimps clutches.
For snail control, you can also try Khuli Loaches.
