what substrate is actually advisable? ( as in suitable)
If keeping Exotic shrimps are easy then there will not be Exotic prices.

Its been 3 weeks since i put cardinal together with my crs and they seem to do fine at temperature 24 c and ph 7. Anyone else try mixing them in longer time?
cek this site www.aristocratama.com
Not a good idea. When I had my first batch, I tried mixing them with my tiger shrimp at 24C and they died (~1 month later). 27-30 C is a more ideal range for these shrimp. Just make sure the hardness is not too low, and oxygen is rich.
It is best to have these in their own tank, since they have special requirements.

@ cobalt99
thanks for the input, How long have you been keeping them and what types? and any success in breeding them? I also have tank dedicated to those sulawesi shrimps with ph 8, temp 27, and with oxygen stone. But still, they die on me one by one. the strongest one is cardinal. I have few survived for 3 months.
Yes, they can be more challenging than some other shrimp species.
I have been able to breed a few Cardinals (white spot), but not very many yet
I have used sponge filters with the air turned up high. They seem to become inactive and get sick if the O2 is not enough. PH has not been a real issue with my Cardinals. Just keep enough dissolved calcuim/Magnesium in the water. Also keep the Nitrite to less than 2ppm, and Nitrate below 10ppm. I have also found that hair algae may be toxic to them, so if you have any hair algae remove it.
Maybe ask apistoworld(HK) about keeping plants with the shrimp. I think Sulawesi plants would work best. I have used regular pellia with success, since it does not need extra CO2.
Regards

I have been keeping the Blue Leg Poso for around a month. I found out that they are capable of changing colour like many of the Sulawesi Shrimps. I have them in different shades from tansparent blue to pinkish to dark blue:
Also got myself some more shrimps, those I saw in Sulawesi finally arrived.
White Orchid - Notice the differences from the normal orchid posted above.
Red Powder Shrimp - Got myself some pregnant specimens
Still have more to come...

Beautiful pics! What is the name of this plant? I really like it, and think the shrimp do too
The name of the plant is Red Cherry plant (Chara sp) which is technically an algae.

Baby Blue leg Poso. Look how tiny they are!
Caridina white spot after giving birth
A better Picture of the Red Powder
Crystal Shrimp, hail from the same area as the blue legs.
For those trying these shrimps, keep your water parameter stable and avoid itchy finger syndrome and the shrimps will do well. Also.. Lotsa Sulawesi rocks helped! (Not the kind you see in LFS)

any photo for the sulawesi rock? and where do u find them?
thinking of starting a sulawesi shrimp colny..
I agree, Sulawesi rocks (The one with brown color and little holes) does help keeping them alive. Maybe because the rocks raise PH and provides caves for the little baby shrimps. My tank used to have PH of 7,5. After I added few sulawesi rocks, PH raised up to 8,5
Above is pictures of my sulawesi tanks consist of white orchid, red orchid, white spot, red lines, yellow cheek, and Harlequin. This tank is about 1 month old and so far the shrimps , even the babies are doing well. I use mosura products for this tank. I am not sure where to get the sulawesi rocks in Singapore coz I bought it in Indonesia for about SGD 7 for 1 rock with diameter about 6-8cm
