ok, confirm with choy, he meant why the shot was taken at a slower shutterspeed when he can shoot at a faster one just increasing the ISO.
sometimes, it is to achieve a better background, but in this case, doesn't matter because the background is messy
actually you should make this an impetus to go out and reshoot

Well... indeed....
going out to re-shoot is a must... the only thing that I am afraid of.. is not being able to know what mistakes I made... for now, the only thing that gets into my head is that some of my shots are not clear. Other than that, I still need time to analyze especially the butt comments. My Butt shots looks symmetrical to me leh.... sorry guys.. I know it's tiring to teach me over the net... don't give up on me hoh...

Wah, D3, no play play man. Nice pictures. So how do you feel about your 105mm macro now? Still want to upgrade? Anyway, I agree with Simon, need to work on the focus a bit to get them sharp.

Jeff,
Don't be so hard on yourself. I'm sure you'll improve with more practice. Anyway, for the sharpness thing, if it looks sharp when you're looking through the viewfinder and it always does not look sharp on the image, you may want to check your diopter setting on your viewfinder. Another thing I know about D3 is that it is able to store tuning parameters for up to 20 lenses. So you can actually mount your macro lens and tune it at home to make sure it is sharp and safe the information in your camera. That next time you change lens the parameters can be loaded and you should be able to get sharp results when you do autofocus.
