Looks like we really need to come up with a food review for the available food for shrimps in the market. It will help new comers too.

I received a sms to collect a free sample shirakura from a LFS, but I didn't respond to the message as it is too far for me.. So you picked it up?

Sounds good, the packaging of the trial pack looks like those when Mosura was first introduced. However, from what you say, Hayashi sounds good!

it could be that hayashi contains more meaty food.. as both mosura and shirakura are plant based food.

Accordingly to worldwide crs experts, CRS food has to have be plant based, plant based food make CRS look nicer, it is also close their food in natural.

Usually plant based food is not liked by CRS, that is rather understandable.

If one do not want their crs to show the best color but want them to grow fast, they should not spent money on meat based shrimp food, they should go for Hikari Carnivorous Pellet, very economical. Or frozen bloodworms, CRS response to them fastest, but are they best for CRS?

All these talk of whether plant-based or meat-based is best for CRS is baseless IMHO. Who really has done a scientific experiment to prove which is better?
Whoever is promoting plant-based food are those who has commercial interest in selling CRS food. Or they are just hearsay from somewhere from someone "prominant" and just help to spread around the word.
