Yes I do. I guess it gives me opportunity to reshoot and reshoot and reshoot if I'm not satisfied with the outcome. That's what I like about digital, instant feedback. But I do admit, it drains the battery quite a bit. Do you??
Hi,
Do guy guys use a photo viewer to view your photos while out shooting?

Luenny,
Actually I am referring to those Photo Frame or multi media viewer, not viewing it on your camera. These view comes with different size LCD screen and the bigger screen is about 9". Just slot in your CF card and you can view the result of what you have shot.
I have read about people using it and am just wondering if anyone here is using it.

those are very low resolution.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

why do you want to view them separately when you can view them on your camera?
the screen are much bigger, I saw one with 9" screen.
Can really see your photo better. Small and not too bulky to carry around.

yeah but what's the point when it is low res, and has unacceptable colour fidelity and contrast for the purpose of checking your photograph?

I don't really go through my pix except when I'm on my way back, unless you are traveling then it make sense to upload the photos and free up space on your memory card, with bigger and cheaper memory card, soon that option will also be redunant
when travelling I will copy my pix from card to laptop. note COPY. so I have one copy on HDD and one copy on CF card.

Are you talking about this: http://www.buy.com/retail/Product.as...002&adid=17662
I don't this thing is meant to be brought outside for you to view when you're shooting. I think they're meant for desktop display at home so that you don't have to keep printing your photos. The resolution is not that high and don't think the LCD perform well under the sun.

Luenny,
Yes that's what I am referring to.
Looks like no one is using it here.

Yeah, besides, when you're out shooting with a camera, a flash and a tripod in your hands, you don't want to be holding another thing unless it is absolutely necessary right? Remember, the more you bring the more weight you carry.

Luenny,
What I meant was, after shooting, can view the photos and re-shoot if necessary.
I guess I'll just stick to notebook.
Thanks to all your valuable input.

Not my cup of tea, anything that adds weight will be at home. I don't like lugging around excess baggage when I'm shooting.
Cheers!

yup! in fact I am sorely tempted to get a rangefinder

i have a friend that has this. He uses it to download his pictures and also to show his pictures to his wife when they are travelling together. He seldom brings his lap top so this serves as an alternative option.
I am into Plecos now...
