Planning another outing, this time it is all the way to the stream at Rifle range link. Distance from the ranger station is 3-4km. Water point is at the ranger station, please bring your water bottle.

time: 9am

care to share how demanding is this route?

not really demanding, except for some upslope and downslope along the way

I see. How long will the to and fro take?

duration should be 4-5hrs. So we will end at around 1+

I will try to make it, down with fever and flu during this period. So it's this Saturday right?
3-4km not too bad if gears are not heavy.

If lugging a lot of things it will be very tiring.

Hopefully the weather permits!

Will there be the 5 bar swordtail? Really want to see one up close and personal!!

I wish I could tell you what species there will be, but you never know :P

I will be across a stream so wear the proper footwear

sandals? No shoes? It will be interesting. By the way where is Venus drive? Is it opposite Mac? Never been there before. Seems like if i'm going got to meet you at your place again ?

Got stream, sure will have higher chance to get more butts!

I believe there will be other insects to shoot other than butts. For me i will shoot whatever that is present. For example the last trip, the butts somehow or rather decides not to turn up on their usual spot. So no choice got to find alternative to shoot.

My main goal will be shooting butts, after viewing Simon's blog, seeing the 5 bar swordtail i was mesmerise by the beauty of it.

Looks difficult to go. Guess got to meet up with someone somewhere. Never been to Thomson plaza. See the direction of the map looks like Bishan & AMK MRT station will be the nearest.

Will see the attendance before deciding on who can i meet up with.

you can always meet at my place if you want. Alternatively, you can take 855 from Yishun interchange, but then you have to alight 2 stops before thomson plaza, infront of flame tree park condo, then across the road and meet us at the carpark
