Looks like planaria to me, it is usually a sign of overfeeding.
Hi all, recently I had an outbreak of these 'flat' worms. They are all over my tank to the point I remove the frogbits & turned off the bubbles to see them gasping for air at the water's surface to fully see their numbers (or else they'll be hiding at the bottom soil & rocks)
I see them eat my fish food, live worms & EVEN fish who r dying but not dead yet!!! aaargh...horrible death!

Hi there,
You might want to take a look at this innovative idea on how to get rid of them.

But like what jacian mentioned, overfeeding is the usual cause, so controlling the amount you feed is the real long term solution.

yup, I suspected planaria as my automated feeder was feeding a lot eventhough the setting was as before the minimal. I later found out it was the slow rotation due to the battery being weak & needed to be replaced!!!
But then again, may I confirmed that it takes a long time or some time to get rid of the pests? And are they harmful to my fishes now that I'm feeding lesser & they in multitudes???
