hi bros.. how do you guys keep crypts emmersed? i had a 1ft cube vivarium. having 18watt PL lighting over it. substrate is geX soil.
i had some submersed grown crypt and i shift them to my vivarium. even though i always wet their leaves, they melted away to nothing in just a few days.
so i went on to buy emmersed crypt wenditti(if im not wrong), this time round, i planted the crypts in with the sponge(but not the pot)
af first it looks like this

after 4 days, which is today, many leaves had melted. left only this..

how do i keep emmersed crypts alive? any advice?
    thanks

Leaves from submerse plant will definitely melt when you want to convert them to emerse.

Make sure you have high humidity in the vivarium, maybe fully cover. You can also flood substrate level with water.

Spray water if you can daily.

Is it because of the high temp?

Well, i think you need patience to keep cryptocoryne and you need to provide the correct condition for them to grow.

I had a piece of rhizome of a particular specie that i keep for 1yr before it final sprout into 2 leaves 2 weeks ago. And thats after i tried about 3 different environment over months. I was lucky the rhziome did not disintegrate.

    Hi EvolutionZ,

    Be patience, my friend...

Since we have a similar setup and with even similar plants, these are the pictures that I have just taken for your reference.

I'm not really sure what crypt I'm having , but it looks very similar to what you are having now. I do believed it is in the submersed form, even thou you may have bought it in a emersed packing.

Like you, I planted it with a thin layer of the wool that it comes with so as not to damage the roots. The leaf slowly melt off one by one, and suddenly new leaf started to grow. What you see now in the picture is the crypt in the emersed form.

It took me about 3 months to finally see the first emersed leaf.

ok, what soil you will be using? How will be your setup be? Design plan? You need to plan properly before you get started. What plant will you be adding in?

Anubias barteri 'coffeefolia' is a good choice because of it different color :P
You can see mine here. You can also add in Pogestemon helferi
Wish you success in your setup.
