    Hi All,

I will be going to Ubud of Bali next month for a short vacation, any cryptocoryne or echinodorus to collect or buy there? Are there any other fishy things that can be found there? Thanks.

    Regards,
    T S Wang

Haha, maybe my previous question was too precise, let me try to repharse it.

Anyone know of any aquarium shops in Bali where I can buy some aquatic plants from? Kindly give some rough guidance on the location of these shops also. Thanks!

I did recall seeing one aquarium in Ubud, but didn't borther with details as it was a very basic setup. They had very few selection of fauna and flora. Equipment was very limited in selection. Mostly air pumps and airstones.

You might have better luck in Denpasar instead of Ubud.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the information Benny, but don't think I will have enough time to travel to other cities in Bali during my 3D2N trip. However, I hope to have the chance to get my hands dirty, explore some rivers in Ubud and hopefully collect some cryptocorynes myself! I will try to take some photographs to share if I happen to spot any cryptocorynes.

    Hi Guys,

Just came back from Ubud, sorry nothing much fishy to share. The place is really quite nice as it is my first time there. Walked most of the main roads in Udud town centre and only managed to find one pathetic fish shop.

I must say that Ubud in Bali is really a green paradise, the Balinese in my opinion are avid gardeners. I saw many mosses in the resort that I stayed, got potential for aquarium?

I actually saw a river during my walks around the town and was really about to travel down the valley to the riverside until I saw......

I asked the hotel about cryptocoryne and they replied me the next day that their in-house naturist told them that the plant cannot be found in Ubud and ask me to go to the Botanical Gardens if I want to see them. Don't know if they know what they are saying...

So did anyone managed to download the pdf file to see, I think the file is too big for downloading successfully... Anyone can recommend a website which is good for uploading and sharing files?
