ok: what can I use for a 10cm Cube? heh..

I was thinking of making a NANO planted tank...

put in the office on a table, so no co2 injection and just office florescent lighting..

    besides money plant...

    Chris,

I bought an Ikea cube vase for something like that. Was thinking of Arrowhead or maybe a tall Echinodorus. With emergent leaves, they shouldn't need to worry about CO2 or lights.

loupgarou, you can get an iron plant(Dracaena fragrans), plant it in the marble-like clay balls in your cube. Pour the water half full and you have a plant that can beautify your office. The best thing is you do not need to change water at all, just top it up when the the water level is low.
Alternatively, get a driftwood and plant some java moss.

If the office has air-con, the emersed leaves could dry up pretty fast.

hhhmm but lots of pple keep plants in the office so shouldn't that mean the leaves don't neccessarily dry up in the aircon?

Nana also not bad. Can tie to drifwood so no need substrate.

If your office is air-conditioned , i would recommend Taiwan moss to you as it grows extremely well in low temparature environment without strong illumination.
