    Hi all,
Since there are so many different corydoras out there and a lot of people have mix them together. Can anyone tell me if they will cross breed? Thanks.

Yes. It has been know to happen.

Locally, there was a bunch of us that saw an accidental crossbreed of Corydoras paleatus and Corydoras adolfi. The greenish markings were faded and the whites around the belly was obvious.

However, usually similar body shaped species are more prone to cross breeding. Obviously you are not going to get a Corydoras hastatus X Corydoras semiaquilus crossbeed. Physically, I don't it is possible.

    Cheers,

I have seen a horny male aeneus chase concolors around the tank... luckily the concolors weren't interested.

Yes, cories do cross sometimes. Some cases out there if you search around.

No. Not new types. Hybrids, which may not be genetically stable and hence not be able to breed through.

Yes, very possible they will cross. (saw some pictures of hybrid corydoras)
So it is advisable to keep a group of the same species.

my lonely horny ex - male corydoras zygatus failed to mate with my fat C.aeneus mama after 30mins of chasing.
