Foothill of Gunung Semuja Nonok

March 2, 2008. It rained for whole night & finally stopped in the early morning. I decided to wear my new hiking shoes to test how good it is when hiking at the foothill of Gunung Semuja Nonok in western Sarawak.

The tests are:

1) river crossing
2) ascending & descending from the steep slope
3) hiking on uneven jungle trail

After coming out from the jungle, I am satisfied with my new shoes except I fell into the river after stepping on the slippery rocks .....oops!
