    Hi bros,

    I've just switched my about-to-break-apart 2X36w PL lights to a solite 2x24w T5HO light 1 65000k tube and 1 100000k tube. Temperature's much lower at 25°c with mini fan.
However, I'm unsure if my new solite lights are sufficient for my flora, which consists of HC and also glosso. Should I get another 2X24w T5HO?
    Cheers,
    Sean

To quote from the_rock at another forum with regards to T5HO lightings and about the Watt Per gallon rule (WPG)..

WPG don't really apply to HO lightings.

Around 2WPG can be considered quite high lightings already. It will also depend on your plants' needs.

For plants like HC and glosso, 2x24w will almostly definitely be able to have good carpeting effects.

    Cheers!

oooh... Hmm... I'm asking because I'm not having as much pearling with the T5HOs. And according to Mr Chan, I'd need one more of the 2X24w lightset. But like you said, I've read about T5HO lights too, and visually, it definitely seems as bright as my old PL lights. So i'm a little lost.
    Cheers,
    Sean

Pearling does not depend on lights alone. CO2 supply and fertilizer also play a part.

CO2 and Fertilisation via EI remained constant. I only changed the lights.
