Filled the tank yesterday... the Lily Pipe is very interesting
Pix taken when the tank is still filling up...
Here's the interim layout... sorry for the disappointment guys... not much of a concept I suppose... my priority was:
1) To house some of the plants which were previously in my decommissioned 1ft cube. The driftwood with Java Moss almost determined the look of the tank
2) To add as many stem plants and fast growing plants I can for the initial cycle.
3) To use back my existing Ohko Rocks as they are beautiful

more pictures!!! hehe
I will stay away from HC for the time being as I do not have too much luck with them in previous setups... will cover the foreground with some existing Dwarf Hairgrass
So far I have:
1) Java Moss on driftwood
2) Nanas Petite
3) Blyxa Japonica
4) Dwarf Hairgrass
5) Unidentified red stem plant
6) Unidentified green/red sword plant
7) Unidentified green sword plant
50% Water change after 24 hours... tank is still cloudy
What you guys think?
I got a feeling the Hairgrass foreground will look quite interesting in 2 weeks (if they survived)

btw, where do you get the rocks?
even without waiting for the plants to grow, it looks like jungle liao..now, you make my hands itchy to rescape my tank.. :P

If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.

Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.
BFG, why not? my HC are creeping well even with yamatos in my tank..
Newly planted HC will never have a chance against yamato as I have personally found out back then when a pot of HC cost nearly a blue note from Tropica. But when HC has a grip on the substrate and has grown in size, a yamato can't do much damage. Temperature also play a part in the growth of this creeping plant as well as good lighting and co2 addition. Your mileage may vary.

oh.. didn't know yamato can do such damage.. but well.. my HC went in the same day when my yamatos went in. seems like no damage made.. but they do damaged my chendol plant
Thanks bros for sharing your bad experiences with Yamato... didn't know they can be such a pest Any other plants they prey upon?
they eat mosses if im not wrong.
Hi Jervis
i realised that you're using the Arcadia Arcpod for lights. It's fluorescent tubes inside isn't it? Is it enough for the plants you're growing?
impressive! i cant wait to see pictures of the tank now.. haha
