    I am a newbie in digital photography and intend to get a DSLR. Was somewhat disappointed when the Cannon 450D was not brought in for the IT show. I am considering the Sony A350 with the 2 kit lens ($1699) and the Nikon D80 with 2 kit lens ($188. Request advice which is the better option, and whether I should just buy the body of either one and go for 3rd party lens. My main interest will be vacation and nature photography, and macro in the future. Thanks.

    No, don't get D60. D80 is a good choice.
