dread BLACK BEARD ALGAE
Check yr water parameters suspect it's too much Po4.
Cheers!

u can start out by reducing yr feed, remove as much algae
manually as u can.
sounds like staghorn algae?
can try increase co2 rate.
thomas liew
I'ev tried uping the CO2 for the plants to outwin the growth of the algae but usually it'll fail so by uping the Co2 it may or may not help with the condition.
Have to see if there is enough plants that grows fast enough to outcompete with the dreaded algae.
For me i usually cut down feeding and do more Water Change.
Cheers!
