I find that over time, the algae stains starts to accumulate on my tank glass surface. And if i don't care about it, the algae will just keep on growing on the glass. What kinda algae is that? And, do i need any anti algae solution for this kinda algae problem? Or i will juz need to scrub away the algae?

I guess it happens to us all. Since yours is glass, just get those tough pads for washing dishes, and use it to clean the glass panels. The green dots should come off quite easily. More difficult to fight is BBA.

After trying "natural" methods of lighting and fertilisation control, I've decided to use chemicals instead. Just dosed Amtra Algae Master yesterday. Does not contain copper, but I think it kills filter bacteria. No choice. Tank is dying of BBA.
    Cheers,

So do those snails do harm to the aquarium plants?

I see. Anyway, i have another 2ft GEX fibre glass tank also having the same problem. Wonder should i use chemical solutions. Im currently using the GEX tank cleaning scrub for my fibre glass tank. Was thinking will that cause scratches on fibre glass surface.

It happens to most tank. Just use a dish washing sponge to scrap them off. Glass are harder to scratch as compared to acrylic ones.

the nerite snails are harmless, and the best thing is their eggs do not hatch (reference from a report I read). So do not have to worry about getting a tank full of snails.

    Some points to add.

There have been reports of nerite snails can crawl out of your tank.
I recall euro-brace or an aqauarium cover helping on this point.
Maybe someone can add to this previous observation.

Most magnetic glass cleaners have bristles on the inside portion to scrub the algae.
If these get too close to the gravel it can pick some granules.
When you do and upstroke these will scratch you tank glass.
This is especially so for sand, lapis or dennerle like gravel.
ADA soil is "less likely" but not impossible.

Ideally, if your cleaning device is shaped like a blade (credit card) it can push the gravel away from the glass as you clean the gravel edge.
Do not pull in an upstroke as gravel that falls over the blade may cause scratches.
Just relax and pull away from the glass and repeat the stroke from top to bottom.
