    Guys

Me looking for a mid ground plant that does not grow too fast and too tall for a tank lighting around 2 wpg ( exact is 1.97777). Any suggestion. Preferrably some plant with leaf of a little reddish or light green.

try the various cryptocoryne wendtii variants. there's a variety of colours ranging from green to reddish brown with some even having patterns on the leaves. slow grower and shuldn't grow too tall. i think it fits your needs

One more thing I read some where Cryot tends to melt under some condition. I think from emmersed to submersed condition. Am I right?

ludwigia arcuata is a fast grower. i trimmed them to ~10cm about 3 weeks back and now they are >30cm in my low tech tank. they also grow tall so i'm not so sure they'll fit your needs.

crypts do tend to melt when moved to new conditions, but wendtiis are usually less prone to melting, plus this can be avoided by floating the plant in your tank for a few days/1 week before planting it into the substrate
