Amorphophallus hewittii

Amorphophallus is an interesting aroid. The inflorescence (flower) can grow very tall, sometimes taller than a man! Besides, it emits a scent of decaying flesh (bad smell) in order to attract insects to pollinate its inflorescence.

During a hiking trip with my European friends, we saw this giant aroid in the tropical rainforest of Sarawak.
