    I got MH for my tiger barbs+shark tank, there is a branch of firemoss from this plant-farming tank.

    I am seriously thinking about re-purchasing proper T5 for this plant-farming tank. After reading this thread, I seriously think that the "cool" light maybe responsible for the algea outbreak, coupled with the lack of CO2

    If i am not wrong algea loves blue which is given out at higher temperature.
    6500k should be good as it is closer to sunlight.
    What plants to use???? Arggggg......

    so my "cool" which is yellowish at 4000k is fine

    T5HO is 24w
    Normal T5 I forgot.
