    i have the following in my 1.25ft planted tank:
    - 2 otos
    - 4 SAEs (3 added today - all adolescents)
    - 11 cherry shrimps (all added today - very small ones)
    - 1 malayan shrimp
    - 1 platty
    - 2 leopard cory (both adolescents)

    is it overloaded???

    Sorry to borrow this post, i have a 2x1.5x2 tank with about 100+cherry shrimps inside the tank 6pencil fish and 1 apisto mamore. i find that it's on the high side, i guess it's due to the shrimps. Thou they are small but they do contribute quite alot to the bioload in the tank.

    waah... 100 cherry shrimps? from NA? how much did you get it for? i bought mine from NA for $1 each and got 1 free...

    are they hardy creatures?

    I bought mine from NA too. Bought 20 got 2 free [] According to Chan, the Cherry Shrimps he got are more hardy than Bumble Bee Shrimps in general.

    the SAEs will eventually get too large and boisterous. it's fine for now but try to reduce the population once the SAEs grow bigger or you could change to smaller sized fishes to maintain the bioload.

    they are already starting to pick on my poor cherry shrimps... wonder how long can they last together...
