want to do have some fishes at the top level of my nano tank as my glowlights keep hanging around the bottom. need something which is not overly big, peaceful but active. Thanks!

    Celebes rainbows!

i would recommend lyretail killifish, but one of my males has a tendency to chase slower moving fish, so i dare not recommend them as a first choice anymore

Celebes Rainbows would be nice, but the blue-eyes from the Pseudomugil genus, like furcatus and gertrudae would also work well.

yes, im keeping rasboras brig, looks cool in my nano 9L planted tank. But they stay relatively in mid and top, so when food falls to the bottom, they just stop mid range.

Aphyocharax paraguayensis aka Paraguay Tetra is an aggressive fish. If kept in small numbers they will chase other fish constantly. You will require at least a shoal of 6 or more.

They don't stay at the top right?
You can consider Rasbora dorsiocelleta. Nice blue-eyes and schools quite tightly. And almost stays forever at the top level of the tank (for my case).
