    Guys

Anyone of you know of any additives that can be added into the water column to prevent internal beacteria/infection which is what I suspect killing my torpedo and SAE.
Other than the usual WC change to maintain water quality and avoid feeding with live feeds , it there something that can reduce the possibility of fishes getting infection internally.
Some LFS suggested aquarium salt, some suggested Epsom salt.....
    Comments please.

I don't know much about torpedo and SAE, but for discus we use garlic, mesh up and mixed into their food.
Epsom salt will purge their stomach.

I seem to find that the best approach to fight these internal bacterias is through the food we are feeding them with. Go with the thera A formula or others that provide some sort of anti-biotics and high vitamins.

Keep water changes constant as well, of course making sure the water source itself is not contaminated.

ketapang leaves seem to have halted something killing my fish.
at one point they were dying 1 per 3 days. 2 weeks since the leaf went in the sword tails seem to be breeding now.

Some books advocate throwing in antibiotics into the tank ? Augmentin and amoxicillin are fairly safe and easily available usually...

antibiotics are effective against bacterial infection.
antibiotics like amoxicillin can only be obtained in small quantity and quite expensive.
buy them in Bangkok, big quantity and much cheaper too.

    Guys

Won't it be too late if the fish already stop feeding even when given Thera A right?
Am i correct to say that feed this food to them on a periodical basis to prevent internal parasite infection.

Even the normal NLS formulas are sort of anti-parasitic as they contain large amount of garlic. You can just use the normal formulas as a staple food for your fishes. Its just that Thera A contains an even larger proportion of garlic and targets internal parasites specifically.

aquastar if you are staying up north and both c328/polyart in the west, pretty much covers it. seaview is near sengkang so if you are staying in tampines/pasir ris, might want to check it out there.

There is a food called BaktoTabs from Sera. I've not used it personally, but that's one option for you to think about, other than the NLS Thera A.
