I am interested in doing a planted shrimp(any shrimp except glass)breeding tank. Anyone can tell me how to get started, I have a 2 ft tank using a eden internal filter.

Will the filter suck in all the fry?

What kind of fishes are not advisable, or no fishes are allowed in a shrimp breeding tank?

Other than moss, what other plants are suitable?

    Cheers.

you should be using a very weak sponge, or ugf

any form of power filteration is going to suck up all the fry.

and besides, unless you make the tank get green water, what are you going to feed shrimp fry?

Eden is okay for a 2ft, shrimps like cherry, tiger give birth to free swimming fry and they look alike their parents just in smaller scale, they feed on algae once birth so don't worry too much about filtration.

You can add any kinds of plants just make sure it's shrimp only tank, for other fishes , algae eaters are okay. pencil fish, oto , sae are perfectly fine fishes to add. Others i'm not too sure.
    Cheers!
