Hi. Bro.
In total, how many types of shrimps are in the tank?
I had also seen in my friend's tank.
He told me is a hybrid.
Cheers

i think its a malayan shrimp, or possibly a malayan/cherry shrimp hybrid.
Malayans are able to change colour. That guy looks exactly like the large malayan shrimp i have as a scavenger in my Pelvicachromis fry tank.
Yup, looks like Malayan shrimp to me... In term of $, Malayan shrimp is much cheaper than cherry.
I have female cherry that is dark brown, almost black.
...I love rubies too ...
Ken
i have some malayan shrimps that have turned red and are indistinguishable from my rcs.
But their behaviour is quite different. Malayans tend to be more active.
It looks like a malayan shrimp to me too because of the strip of brown on it's back. Does Cherry shrimp have this strip?

Cherries have these strips but they will be in pinkish colour, this is a result of cross bred between malayan and cherries.
But based on the photo posted, it looks like a malayan shrimp to me too.
