Mine is a 60 litres 2ft tank. The guide on my bottle of K2SO4 says something like dissolve 1/4 of a teaspoon for every 200 litres of water. So I'm like dosing about 1/6 of a 2.5 ml medicine spoon. Its bubbling with health but not like the 7-up effect so I believe its just nice.

my tank is about 22 gal-- 83 liters ( 2 and a half feet ) .
So according to the chuck's calculation, with every 10 g mixed with 1000 ml of water, the dosage should be every ml will give 0.05 ppm of potassium. ( target is 20 ppm ).
So I need 400 ml of solution to get 20 ppm potassium.
The reason I asked is because Dr. Mallick has given me a different dosage. He says add 10 g to 1000 ml of water, dosage should be 10 ml of solution for every liter of water in tank. Which means 830 ml of solution !! ( for 83 liters tank )
I think I'll go with chuck's calculation.

1 flat teaspoon will give you approx 32 ppm in your tank.
2/3 teaspoon will give you approx 20 ppm in your tank.
Mix it about 100ml or more of water should be ok.

yah... haha yes! I use like 2 tablespoons in a 500ml stock solution... and dose like 10-15ml each time... that last like 30-40 days. The plan is to dose daily though sometimes I forget.

10ml dosage per 1 liter give you 45ppm K.
Usually I mix 5g with 225ml for a 10,000ppm solution. This would give me 1ml per 10 litre for 1ppm K.

I was just wondering why the dosage determination for K2SO4 is so much more complicated than that of Sodium Bicarbonate. In the latter, advise given is usually 1 tsp will raise 50 litres by xx dKh. How come for K2SO4, one must dissolve the compound in xx ml of water and than xx ml of this solution will give xx ppm in the tank.. phew!
When trying to raise KH, we typically don't try and raise it by more than 1dkh per day. You can either just chuck the powder into the tank directly, or for me, I mix it in a 1.5L bottle and pour the whole bottle in.
Similarly with KNO3 and K2SO4, we can chuck the whole amount in... but typically we only want to raise the level by a bit. But its very difficult to get precise amounts due to the small quantities. So what we do is we use a larger amount of the stuff... something quantifiable, and then dissolve that in a amount of solution usually called our stock solution... and then dispense that...
for example, I wanna raise my nitrate levels by 1ppm/day (to keep it slow). KNO3 is 40%K and 60% NO3. 1g of KNO3 would give 400mg K and 600mg. If my tank is 100L, that would mean 4ppm increase in K and 6ppm increase in NO3. So if I wanna increase NO3 by 1ppm I would need 1/6 of a gram... I dunno about you but thats tough to measure. So what we do instead is dissolve say 15g of KNO3 in 200ml of water. Then we dispense out 2ml of our stock solution and pour that into our tank (assuming the liquid is homogeneous)

For Dr. mallick's dosage, I was told deslove 10g to 100 ml of water, add 10 ml of this solution to every 10 liter of tank. Can any one clarify this?

If I use use Dr. Mallick's Potasium Sulfate at the following rate how many ppm of potassium can I get for a 27 gal water tank.
"add 10g of sulfate into 1000ml water, it will become 1% potassium solution. according to Dr. Mallick dosage add 10ml of this soluation into every 10L of water"
If I add 100ml of this soluation into my tank, how many ppm of potassium can I get.

You can use Chuck Gadd's Dosage Calculator to find out. I did a quick calculation... 100ml of that in your tank will give you 4.39ppm of K.
10g is hard to measure unless you have a scale. 2 flat standard teaspoon mixed in 1000ml, will give you 5.27ppm with every 100ml.
Might be easier if you mix 1 teaspoon into a reasonable amount of water and pour the whole solution in. That will give you 26ppm of K.
