B&W Spider

Hi,
Just to share a B&W spiny spider that I shot last week. Pretty active and interesting little fellow. It has a huge web that has a lot of visitors and no problem on food supplies - at least while I'm there. Not extremely sharp because the huge web is swinging at the slightest breeze (or motion from the spider).

Nice shots! I like the 1st picture, but background of 2nd picture is better.
3rd picture can see the eyes but background a bit distracting.
I shot the same spider on Sat at the Zoo, but picture's not good.

Thanks. First picture is a bit blurry because the guy's eating.

Third picture was done so that I can see how it looks like from the front. This guy's always facing downwards so the shot was taken with the camera below the spider shooting upwards. That's why the background is bright.

You took this guy also? The shell is very reflective huh? What about yours? Did you take some of this without flash?

Come to think of it the one I shot looks a bit different, the color is brown instead white. Unable to find it's name in the common Singapore Spiders website.
The spike is similar. I was using the 50mm + extension tubes, hard to focus and the angle was bad.

Yeah, I think this is the one. The size in the guidebook seems a bit off to me though - not for this spider, for some other spiders.

Here's one more with some motion blur. First attempt at motion blurred spider. Most spider either stay very still or move very fast.
