    Hey...
i recently picked up a butterfly fish, and i am getting a copule of hundred crickets for it this weekend...
is there any special way to feed the crickets to the butterfly fish?
will the crickets be ok in a 6 gallon (yes, with a very tight lid!)?
how often should i feed them to my butterfly fish?
    how many?
    Thanks...

just one thing about housing crickets.

if you provide them with a lot of water to drink, or let them eat wet vegetable such as lettuce, cucumbers etc, which are good for them, they will provide a lot of wet waste..very dirty.

you can feed them with fish pellets and carrot to gut load them.
you can use pine shavings for pet hamsters/rabbits etc to use as their bedding.

depends on the cricket sizee, throw 1-3 each time. once a day is enough. if you want you fish to grow fast, you can feed more.

crickets float well and fish go gaga over them.

Hi Mez !, for a few hundreds, 6 gallon container is okay for " pin head " size but maybe a bit small for adult size. Oh Yah ! tight lid is no no coz' " humidity " kill them ! good Ventilation is a must !. Given the " right environment, their life span should be about 60 days ( from egg to adult ).
I feed my White's Tree Frogs with crickets too !, I usually buy these crickets from a local cricket Farm. I notice that there are two species available in Farm, one is local cricket which is black in colour and the other one is light brown or beige in colour. The guy at the farm told me that the beige one is from the states ! , hmm ! btw what is the colour of your crickets ?. I usually feed the cricket with fruits and vege. coz' whatever they eat they in return enhance the white's condition, hope I'm of some help , Cheers man ! []
