Recently the weather have been very very warm, with room temperatures of 30degrees that lasted for afew days or so. I was just wondering is the temperatures affecting your plants in a non-chiller enviroment? I think my spiky moss is having patches of brown and is slowly spreading throughout the branch. But my flame moss is doing just fine, so i pressume that the temperature is the main cause for now i guess? Temperatures in my tank can reach 29degrees at night when the fan is off.

I think it will affect fauna more than flora.

Well, my newly tied branchy DW with fissidens is not growing at all, and in fact turning a little brown

And my gold anubias nana 'petite' is yellowing for no discernible reason whatsoever... i thought they grow ok in hotter water even?

    land plant different story

Mu Aquatic plants are all ok, but my Caca hide in the coner near the surface yesterday. Not sure whether it is due to heat (31C) looks ok now actively swimming after I add fan (28C).

Well, i think some types of moss and fissidens are super sensitive to water temperature changes. And when temperature goes up suddenly, you'll juz see the patch of brown slowly spreading throughout.

Yup, ive spotted a couple of brown patches on my moss as well. Ive use a couple of books to block all sides of the tank so it's just expose to the tank light. Temperature hovering around 26-27.
