    To shoot such a small insect you'll need a macro lens.
    Macro lens enables you focus closer and get a magnified picture of the insect.

    Hi Richard, I'm currently using the standard kit for Cannon 450D and is still saving money to get a macro lense. I think it would be fun to have one of those lense

    The fly that you shot is really small. You need to get close to 1:1 magnification to make a nice picture out of it. And they're pretty shy too. If you're keen on shooting subjects like this, you may need a longer macro lens than 100mm.
