i planted some hairgrass 2 weeks back. As a newbie, suprisingly they grow. But some under shade withered.

My question is does hairgrass needs strong lights to survive and what other points to note when come to planting them?

Thanks for your precious advise in advance.

I have hair glass on 70% of my tank area. I only have problem in the beggining (very common for newly planted hair glass) where hair algae grew on them. They need high light as their leaves are tiny. They need good water that is low in nitrate for the first 2 months. After that, they will adjust themselve to the condition like all plants do. Do not overfeed your fish during this time (once every day or every 2 day).

    Have fun.

It does survive under low light but takes ages to grow. So best is grow under high light.
