Try Long Hu at Serangoon North, H20 near Kembangan MRT and Dovii's new shop at Simon Lane. Try Dovii and H20 first. For Long Hu, better that you check out prices elsewhere first.

LSZ, if you read this, can you give an update on Dovii's shop status?

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:

i saw some varieties of tangas at serangoon north taiwan shop (is it long hu?) namely tropheus and neolamprologus species. I find their tropheus (i think ikola and spec. black) price is lowest ive seen so far, $15 only.

dunno you should mix other tangs with fronts, coz the latter grows very big compared to the others.

I have never kept fronts so dunno if theyll attack others. According to my friends ... they take sometime to grow, i think sinta aquarium in serangoon north have some bigger specimens, you can go have a look.

yea fronts are not like LH, they will take sometime to grow. the bigger ones cost $20 at serangoon north at the shop near to rainbow. just realise how expensive tang cichlids can get compare to malawis. just 5 fishes less than 7cm each cost me $38.

They grow as big as an adult LH. Before LH craze, oredi got 'kok tau' craze because of fronts :P Bigger specimens i see in aquariums are kept individually, so i think they are not too friendly :P

    Just a clarification here:
    Frontosas are Tanganyikan cichlids.

Yes they do get big , roughly 35cm or slightly more in their natural habitat which is at the deeper regions of Lake Tanganyika.

But their growth rate is extremely slow.
And they are rather inactive and shy , prefering to hide amongst rocks and cave shelters than to be caught in the open.

No doubt a 2ft would eventually get too small for them.
But for housing a few juveniles for a short while , TEMPORARILY , it IS possible if you provide for neccessary shelter as well as attention taken to the proper filtration of the tank and proper care required for all african cichlids.

Also take care to observe their behavior, whilst in general they are timid fish and rather docile , there are always exceptions to every rule.
