    Dear all,

I am considering between these two floating plants for my planted tanks.. Heard both roots will not grow till very long unlike the Amazon Frogbit.. Anyone have experience of keeping Salvinia before?

    Regards

yes correct both floating plant roots are not as long as Amazon frogbit. I would recommend Salvinia because easier to clean than duckweed

I second that. Salvinia easier to remove cause they grow in clumps.

the montfort tank has got tonnes of them. in fact we just threw 500 grammes worth of duckweed/salvina over the week end. They still have plenty and if you don't mind, you may want to make a small donation to the school for them.
