Interesting, simple adapter without electronics and it cost so much. I wonder how it compare to those translucent material from popular.

it doesn't support 550EX!

alternatively I could get a 580EX II and use it with this gadget, in Master mode, and my 2×550EX as slaves

that might be a nice set up for portrait.

Does it work for all lenses?

Eg. for a short EF50mm/1.8, will the ray flash be in front blocking?
and for a long EF70-200/2.8, will the ring flash be in the middle of the lens and getting blocked?

it was built for shorter lenses.. so if you got long lense it will be somewhere in the middle.
