    Evo,
if you want to tie bogwood down just use aquarium rocks, lead weights really dont know have detrimental effects on your tank.

hi all, i haven't really do a read on toxicity of leadweights to fauna but they are commonly used not only to tie down plants but also on cucumber and other veggie cuts for plecos to chew them. So i guess it's not toxic after all since I've used them too when i keep plecos .... long term that is and no side effects.

Oops sorry, I just saw my signature. This is my first post after quite some time. I have to update them since the fishes are no more in my collection.

Why don't you try fishing weights? The ones for dragging which are flat if I am not wrong. Aqua Star does fishing tackle.
If it's meant to be, it will be. If not, so be it!
