    Yes, it works for BBA.

Apply the H2O2 directly at the BBA, you would see results.

chris: I did! but have yet to reintro my "tree" driftwood into the tank, gg to h202 it again today, prob is BBA elmination boils down to ridding the tank of spores, and I"m banking on the assumption that full grown BBA produces spores not the young ones, so far I removed all traces of BBA from my newly redone tank and removed the tree driftwood which always had a BBA prob, and so far no more signs of BBA in the tank, but scared that the driftwood will reintro it again.

what if the bba is on xmas moss,is it alright to treat it with h202? where do u buy the h202 from and how do i treat the bba on xmas moss? cos the main piece in my tank is a big drift wood with xmas moss tied down to it and seems like the bba is spreading really rampantly.

h2o2 can get from pharmacy, $3 for a big bottle. I suggest you treat the wood outside of your main tank, and be careful cuz it can also kill your moss, but not sure in what concentrations

Can I apply the h2o2 directly to the BBA inside the tank? If can, won't it be harmful to the fishes?

    [:0] No.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

Yes, you can. The safe dosage is abt 25ml per 20 gallon for 3% H2O2. I believe those you buy from Guardian are 6%, so halve the dosage.

Jacian, how do I apply it on the BBA? Use a small pipette and drop the h202 directly on the BBA? Regarding the dosage, will the h2o2 dissappear in the tank over time or I need to change the water in order to apply the dosage again? Thanks.

Yes, a pipette would do the trick.
H2O2 would ended up as H20 + O2. You are recommended not to repeat the dosage within 24 hrs. Water change not a must but it is always good to do.

Thanks for the info. Now I can kill those eye-sore without dismantling the tank.

Just do it in moderation... too much H2O2 can seriously affect your fishes.
