I came across articles on eden 501 parts, some months back. They indicated that comparing to eden vs eheim, once eden motor or impeller breaks down, its gone for good. Whereas eheim have part numbers which you can order.

Unfortunately, i cant find the link or the "google" key words i used to bring it the website up

hmm the eden manual has part numbers. impeller is 9901-1 or 9901-2 for 50hz and 60hz respectively (dunno singapore is 50 or 60 hz). does anyone know if any shop in singapore carries/orders eden spares?

The forum i read mentioned part numbers as well, but they were debating about the freight charges to bring in these parts as no lfs carries or take overseas order. That was the problem and affected the popularity of eden. It was suggested by some of them to ask lfs to made these parts available to us. There was however no mention which LFS after the last post.

Might want to try calling them and update the community if you find something useful. It will greatly benefit the rest of us I will take note to ask the LFS when i do my monthly visits next week.

I've searched for the replacement parts for this filter.
Lost one of the rubber feet and got very agro with the filter not being able to balance.

All the Eden filters are named Turtle filters in the USA with the brand name of Zoo Med.
btw Turtle, as the name suggest, specializes in terrarium products.
Thus, the Eden 501 is called Turtle 501.
The spare parts are all the same albeit a little difference like blue sponge rather than black..
Every parts that you can think of is avialable just like Eheim.
erm... just had a look and they reduced the inventory (they use to have the hard pipes too) so not all now...
Eden 304 and 316 parts are similarly avialable (named Microclean 304/316).
Turtle 318 is like our Eden 316 (clear plastic).

So, if someone wants to do an MO please go ahead but don't forget to ask me too!

    I don't think so...
Your best bet would be mail order for them.
I just realized there may be a different impeller for the voltage too...
    Looks like more digging required.

seems like so much hassle just for a US$5.40 item looks like i got to replace my filter. Think i'll get a Resun CY-20 this time...1/2 the price and the one I had never gave way like the eden did

thanks for the info torque6 and celticfish!

Hmm... Chan @ NA told me the cons (difficulties in getting parts for replacements) of getting an Eden as compared to an Eheim previously also when I enquire on Eden 501... Hence changed my mind of getting Eden also...

Illumnae, for the Resun CY-20, (FYI only) the flowrate seems to be only 200l/hr - enough for the tank that you are using? Had reservations about getting one in use for my 1-feet base with 16 inches tall tank back then... Any idea the price for a unit? Thanks!

the Resun CY-20 should be ok as I needed to face the rainbar of the Eden 501 towards the glass wall of my 1ft cube due to the flow being too strong.
