Hi,
Sometime back, a fellow forumer gave me a stock of the above and told me to leave it floating in the tank, giving it lots of light and nutrients, let the plantlet starts to grow before planting it.
Now, i am seeing a plantlet but have the following queries.
1. At what stage should i plant the lotus into the substrate?
2. Do i cut the existing stem and the petals?
Many thanks

Another way is to weight the parent leaf onto the subsrate with a pebble, make sure enough light reaches the plantet, the parent leaf will eventually melt away while the plantet takes root....
...I love rubies too ...
Ken
I trim away the parent leaf once it starts seriously melting as a precaution against excess NH3/NO3 in the tank.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
Thank you all.
Just another point. How big should the plantet be before i plant it?
Yesterday saw one root.
