    yes, it can be done, however you are giving up a glass wall to mount powerheads, filters, rainbars as such.

    actually was thinking about doing it on the side of the tank, measuring 1.5ft width x 2ft height. Is fissiden fast growing?

    Hi,
    US fissidens are rather slow growers in my opinion - slow and steady. I would say maintenance free after securing them to wiremesh or wood.

    ok thanks, intend to grow java on the left and fissiden on the right.
