Hi all, I'm planning to transport and transfer approx 300 cherry shrimps to a new tank. Can anyone recommend me a good/safe method to do it.

Probably the shrimps will need to be in a temporary tank/pail overnight before transferring to the tank.

I've no much choice but to add these shrimps to the new tank because I have no temporary mature tank for them... except my 1ft which is definitely to small

Appreciate any recommendation... and thank in advance

bro, you mean you are going to put 300 shrimps in a 1 day old NEW tank? that is totally not cycled? please don't, im quite MOST if not all of the 300 shrimps will die off, recently i put some taiwan shrimps(suspected to be wild cherry) in my 3weeks old ADA II 2ft tank. and most of them died.. most likely due to not finished cycling yet.
so please, don't, put in your 1ft still can hold for 1 week or 2.. or maybe you want to sell them away first, and buy later..

Hi bro, thanks for the recommendation... actually I shared the same sentiment with you too. Probably I'll sell them away 1st... maybe just keep about 80-100 of them temporarily in my 1ft until the new tank is cycled

200 cherry shrimps... any interested party or parties? Oops... wrong section I'll need to start a new thread in Marketplace soon

If your new tank totally new? Or are you going to reuse the substrate/filter from the old tank? If you need to temporarily house your cherry shrimps, I have a 2ft 5plan tank that I can give it to you for that purpose.

Hi bro Jacian, thanks for the offer... really appreciate But don't think I can keep some many tanks at home without noises from the SO

Probably I'll do what bro Evo and Blueboy's suggested... house some in temporary tank (aka pail) and sell away the most of them

Hi bro Blueboy... thanks for the recommendation!
