As above.. i had bought what was supposed to be a pair of Ap. sp. Miua from Seaview.. upon getting home and releasing them though, they started flaring at each other, and the formerly colourless "female" suddenly took on hues that make me believe its actually a juvenile Ap. mendezi hence this thread.

If you see/know of some way i can lay my hands on either a female Ap. sp. Miua or a female Ap. mendizi, please please respond... thanks loads.

Maybe you can ask C328 uncle to bring in for you.. BUt I am sure the price will be different as comapred to Seaview of cause.. Alternatively.. You can ask seaview people to bring them in for you..

Just went to Biotope. They have miua and mendezi but I'm not sure if they'll sell a piece.

Thanks guys for the replies.. i went to Biotope, the fish are all in pairs, don't think i'll get from them. Think I'll try C328. I know they allowordering of some apistos, but am not too sure if they'll take orders for rarer ones like mendezi and sp. miua.

they do take orders for even the more expensive apistos. as long as their supplier is able to supply (which i believe so, since i've recently seen both species there), they will bring in for you

Thanks guys Mr. Thio from Biotope saw this thread i think, and PMed me to say that he might be able to sell me single pieces as he's trying to clear stock of these species a very kind gesture on his part.

Actually, if you look had enough, the females for both miua and mendezi are there in C328. the males have gone to it creator, if you look round the back where the shrimps are,...the females are there.

Thanks for the tip i sought a second, and then a third opinion... apparently my mendezi, which i thought was a young male, is a female i had thought it was male as it has nice blue cheeks.

Anyhow, i was at c328 earlier today... the female mendezi (which i now don't need) is still there, but no sign of the female sp. Miua

Maybe God is intentionally stopping my apisto addiction
