    Dear all,

I've read that once we cut off the top of Ludwigia inclinata var. verticillata "Cuba", the trimmed portion may wither and die. I have some of this plant in my tank so I'm seeking advices from you people in here.

snipping the tops off should produce more shoots lower and make the plant mroe dense. i have no idea why yours are falling over and dying. Perhaps if you dont want to uproot...you can trim realllly low and then just re-plant the realllly long tops.. this should save you from uprooting..

Adding what ranmasatome has said, theoretically the "tiny stump" you leave in the substrate from this method should produce a new stem. And the existing stem cut down to size can be replanted to grow up again.
