Is it stressful to isolate a pregnant fish in those breeding compartment that hangs on the side of the tank?

I seem to have a very pregnant guppy that has stay that way for months now.... Nowadays it tends to stay "sitting" down on bottom of the tank, or filter, or deco.. to avoid being poke at the belly by the male fishes.... It has been doing this for a few weeks.

Yes it is stressful for the female I wouldn't recommend using it.
Either get another tank to separate the female or males, I use the breeding cage for my new newborn guppies.

hmm in my opinion i think that way lets the female off stress from the persistent males keep "poking" her? i have 2 breeding tanks in my 1.6ft tank, one medium and another small one.

The medium use to house 2 guppies and the small one to now isolate my nw suspected pregnant female. It might be a little stressful but my fishes are doing well and feeding well inside it....
    I love my fishes.

It can be done, but just be aware that there can be risk in using these small compartments. Pregnant fish have been known to give premature births when feeling stress.
