Nepenthes from Kerangas forest of Sibu

A "desert" created by Human where the place was used to be covered by dense Kerangas forest. No wonder Borneo is getting hot & hotter.






The remaining Kerangas forest in that area. According to my friend in Sibu, the forest is shrinking, year by year!





First time in my life found Nepenthes albomarginata in the lowland below 100 feet!!!

All the N. albomarginata are growing in the shady area. The plants here are VERY HUGE! Probably the biggest N. albomarginata that I ever found!

Green N. ampullaria. My friend told me this place used to have a lot of red N. ampullaria. Oneday, he brought a commercial collector to see the plant, and then, few days later....ALL the red N. ampullaria WERE GONE!!!! He was very mad & regret for bringing the wrong guy to see the plant he loved so much!
