    Hi,
    Was at the Dragon Boat Race, covering for my company.
    I don't have a long lens, so rented a 100-400mm and my friend
    with his D300+70-200+TC1.7x.
    Here are some shots, first time shooting a dragon boat race, quite different from the macro that I am more used to.

    Nice shots! A wide angle lens may be helpful in an event like this. Can capture the whole boat with the rowers in it.

    Richard, you son of a ... get to play with D300. WAHHHH.

    Try lowering the DOF, shoot at max aperture to get the bg out of focus...

    D300 is shiok, much better than their earlier models.
    D700 will be much better, but I am waiting for the 5D mark II hehehehe
