    Hi all

Further to my question on lighting, how much space do you guys normally allow between the tubes & the water surface? This is in relation to the temperature of the water...& wat kinda temps u all get wifout chillers or air-conditioning in the room? Esp for those who have tried growing hairgrass, which supposedly thrives best at below 26 degrees C (which is quite impossible in S'pore)

    Thx...Nizz

    hi nizz

the temperature at 26 may not be attainable without the help of an AC fan or chiller. My lights are suspended 8in from the water line and still getting around 28.5 to 30C

hi Nizz, dun really need to push yr temp to 26 for hairgrass.. the gap between the lights and the surface can it separating with those light extension legs which elevates yr light fixtures a few inches up

the introduction of a fan will do great for HG, riccia, glosso

    Hi Simon
Yah...& the fan blowing across the waterline rite? But all this at the expense of aesthetics...*sigh* Wifout a fan i think i'd prob get around 28...i'll try dat first & see wat happens.

    Thx!

Curious...r u fellas working or studying?

You need not to have 26C for hairgrass, riccia and glosso. 28C is fine for them.
