Mating/courting dance called tail lashing.
If im not wrong
My local killie fish has ben behaving really strangely. the pair was side by side facing opp ends ( one's head facing the other's tail) and they were pressing and spinning around before splashing and disengaging then going back at it again. is this how they mate? the female doesn't look pregnant tho.
anyone?

what one spot killies? mine have no spots but orange tipped tails for female and orange and blue tipped tails for male. I suppose its mating but thing is, female doesn't look pregnant at all! so maybe its just horny-ness? []
they're aplocheilus panchax. commonly called a whitespot killi cos of a tiny white spot on their heads. u gotta look from above to see it. anyway, maybe it's just plain hornyness on the part of the fish. haha.
