Yes, you can get it cheaper.
So far, i am not successful with Japan and Vomit blood gijing, but
as for Thailand and some gujing bought from Vietnam... it is very successful I have 3.8wpg, ADA II, 30ppm co2, 24degree

think the requirements are as for most plants in a planted tank. Only exception is I find they grow better at lower temperatures. Mine were struggling, getting overwhelmed by BB till I dropped tank temp below 26 deg C
Guys... thanks for the inputs!
Low temperature (<26 deg) is quite difficult for me to achieve ... so probably giving it a pass until the day when chiller is less costly and more energy efficient (dreaming only lah )
The past is HISTORY... the future is MYSTERY
think depends on what GuJing you have.. fan should be sufficient...
mine growing well in 27-29 degrees..
think this is not the $1.50 plant...
whats your tank conditions>
I have 2 tanks presently... 1 low-tech matured cube tank and 1 newly setup "high-tech" 3 footer.
Saw the plant in Polyart and C328 and quite curious about the plant, so made some enquiries about it.
Probably not going to invest in this plant yet until I'm certain that my 3 footer is progressing good.

Tried the $1.50 gujing. Dont think that is a real gujing so not advisable to get that.
Does the Gujing actually flowers and produce seeds cos mine did i think and the seedling are actually growing all over my tank..
i dont think so that yours is the real gujing, cos mine dont seed

Thanks, I got somthing like that from a plant swap. They produce risomes.
that is a Japanese gujing, most gujing look almost the same. Thai gujing can also grow big, but not as big as Japanese gujing.
i find that they need abit of high CO2 and high light
