Hi guys... is the china gujing a easy/hard plant to keep?
The look is kind of unique and cute... but rather expensive ($8/pc)

Many thanks and appreciations in advance

think the requirements are as for most plants in a planted tank. Only exception is I find they grow better at lower temperatures. Mine were struggling, getting overwhelmed by BB till I dropped tank temp below 26 deg C

    Guys... thanks for the inputs!

Low temperature (<26 deg) is quite difficult for me to achieve ... so probably giving it a pass until the day when chiller is less costly and more energy efficient (dreaming only lah )

They are different. The one in the picture is selling at $7.50 in Seaview. Even Thai gujing is selling at $4.50. $1.50 one will not have any bud.

    I have 2 tanks presently... 1 low-tech matured cube tank and 1 newly setup "high-tech" 3 footer.

Saw the plant in Polyart and C328 and quite curious about the plant, so made some enquiries about it.

Probably not going to invest in this plant yet until I'm certain that my 3 footer is progressing good.

Tried the $1.50 gujing. Dont think that is a real gujing so not advisable to get that.

that is a Japanese gujing, most gujing look almost the same. Thai gujing can also grow big, but not as big as Japanese gujing.
i find that they need abit of high CO2 and high light
